Anadara Fossil Shell Necklace

Anadara is extinct saltwater shell.  This genus is known in the fossil record from the Cretaceous period to the Quaternary period - up to 140 million years ago. Although these fossils have been found all over the world, this particular one was discovered on a California beach and tumbled to expose gorgeous layers of pattern and color.
